Metabolism in health and disease
Umakant Sahu is a biomedical researcher focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms of metabolism in human health and disease. He integrates biochemistry with advanced metabolomics, lipidomics, proteomics, and CRISPR-based approaches to uncover regulatory pathways driving metabolic disorders. He earned his PhD from the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, and completed postdoctoral training at Northwestern University, USA.
